Organic food products must be produced according to principles which give special consideration to the environment. This means, for instance, that chemical fertilisers must not be used when producing organic raw products. Processed organic food products, such as jams, do not contain any artificial sweeteners or taste enhancers and the use of far fewer additives is permitted than in food products manufactured in the conventional manner.
